wenxincindy I started out by choosing date for my BIG DAY!
Proceeded to venue sourcing considering that btb usually booked one yr in advance and you would like to hotel recce takes time as well so is good to start early. Do a check with the parents, come out with an estimation of guests that you all will be inviting so that you can shortlist those hotels that suit your min & max number of tables.
After which is bridal studio if you are not deciding to do ala carte. See if they provide pre-wed shoot & AD package to get a better deal. When settled can start looking for photographer and videographer coz there are soooo many out there then you might want to take some time looking through their work to see which one suit your style. After which is all the miscellaneous stuff which can 慢慢来. Lol

iamicefrost Plan at least one year in advance! Some vendors are fully booked even if you enquire one year before.

signedkim Think the most important things to start with are:
- figure out an estimated amount of guests you will have - settle on wedding date - so that you can settle on your wedding venue (if you're choosing to have your wedding at a hotel, best to start searching at least 1 year in advance)
Once venue is settled, then you can slowly decide on the rest, like: - your wedding gown (if you're going for bridal studio) - photographers (and videographers) - florist - makeup artist - etc.
Best to start just thinking about how you want your big day to look like :) whether you want a big banquet or a small intimate wedding. ☺ all the best with your wedding planning!
